Cash4Gold's Haiti Relief Efforts Get Boost From Top Hollywood Celebrities
POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Cash4Gold (www.cash4gold.com), the world's leading gold buyer direct from consumers, has undertaken a series of steps to support those impacted by the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Those efforts got a major boost from dozens of Hollywood celebrities during the run-up to the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.

Cash4Gold was one of the brands included in The Style Lounge in Los Angeles, which celebrities visited to explore cutting-edge products and services. Cash4Gold used this one-of-a-kind opportunity to raise attention and funds to donate to The American Red Cross in support of Haiti relief efforts.
Celebrity visitors to the Cash4Gold "Melt Room" at the two-day Style Lounge were invited to play a coin toss game in which "golden" coins were thrown into a smoking crucible representing the furnaces in which Cash4Gold melts the broken or unwanted items it receives in the mail each day. Every coin that made it into the cauldron equated to more money raised for the Red Cross to support relief for Haiti.
Over a two day period, dozens of familiar faces visited the Cash4Gold "Melt Room" where Cash4Gold was showing its support for Haitian relief, including: the Cast of "Jersey Shore," Billy Burke ("Twilight"), Jordana Brewster ("Chuck"), Lauren Conrad ("The Hills"), Evan Handler ("Sex and the City"), Kate Flannery ("The Office"), Melora Hardin ("The Office"), Natasha Henstridge ("Eli Stone"), Chelsie Hightower ("Dancing with the Stars"), Paris Hilton, Cheryl Hines ("Curb Your Enthusiasm"), Felicity Huffman ("Desperate Housewives"), Rex Lee ("Entourage"), Bill Maher, Audrina Patridge ("The Hills"), Busy Philipps ("Cougar Town"), Craig Robinson ("The Office") and many more.

This charity effort is only one way in which Cash4Gold is responding to the Haitian crisis. Even as celebrities were lining up in Los Angeles to support the company's fundraising, at Cash4Gold headquarters in Florida, Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson announced that the company is matching dollar for dollar all employee cash donations made to The American Red Cross and Feed The Children. A number of Cash4Gold team members are Haitian and they and their families have been personally impacted by the disaster.
Additionally, Cash4Gold employees are aiming to collect more than 500 pairs of donated shoes, as well as canned goods, infant supplies and other food items in conjunction with Food For The Poor which will airlift the supplies directly to Haiti.
"It's extremely gratifying to see Hollywood celebrities joining the entire Cash4Gold family to pitch in and help the victims of this terrible tragedy," said Cash4Gold CEO Jeff Aronson. "Many Cash4Gold employees have family in Haiti they have been unable to reach, and we know already that some family members perished in this disaster. This catastrophe strikes very close to home for us so we as a company wanted to do what we could to provide some measure of support."
Cash4Gold has a history of charitable support, both domestically and abroad. It is active with the international relief organization Feed The Children, the Florida-based charity Stand Among Friends, the American Red Cross, and other organizations.
