Cash 5 Jackpots Won in Philadelphia, Venango and Indiana Counties
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Sept. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Three winning Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 tickets sold in Philadelphia and Venango County split a jackpot worth $125,000 for the Friday, September 8, drawing.
The tickets correctly matched all five balls, 05-06-11-13-20, to each win a prize of $41,667, less applicable withholding. One of the tickets was sold at Wawa, 8220 W. Bartram Ave., Philadelphia. The other two were sold at Shop 'N Save, 1015 Buffalo St., Franklin, Venango County.
Cash 5 produced another big winner on Sunday, September 10, when a $225,000 jackpot was won by one ticket sold by Sheetz, 825 Franklin St., Clymer, Indiana County. The ticket correctly matched all five balls, 01-25-27-32-33, to win a prize of $225,000, less applicable withholding.
Winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed and tickets validated. Cash 5 prizes expire one year from the drawing date. Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket should sign the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office.
More than 45,000 other Cash 5 tickets won prizes of various amounts in the September 8 and 10 drawings. Players should check every ticket, every time, and claim lower-tier prizes at a Lottery retailer.
How to play Cash 5: Players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may select their own numbers using a Cash 5 playslip or opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 is drawn each evening and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. Chances of winning the jackpot prize are 1 in 962,598; the overall chances of winning any prize are about 1 in 10.5.
