Casey to be Honored by the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition
U.S. Senator Robert Patrick Casey receives Pink Ribbon Award
EPHRATA, Pa., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- U.S. Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr., a breast cancer advocate for the women of Pennsylvania, will receive the Pink Ribbon Award from the PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC). The presentation will take place at a luncheon session during the PA Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Conference at the Harrisburg Hilton on Wednesday, October 13th.
Senator Casey co-sponsored the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act, prohibiting employers or insurers from using genetic information to make decisions about a woman's employment or coverage. Senator Casey has also been an advocate for women to receive yearly mammograms.
The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Conference will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Harrisburg Hilton & Towers from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
