NEW PRODUCTS FROM CASCADIAN FARM
Cascadian Farm is proud to have announced two new organic products within the last year, including chewy granola bars made with pea protein and Graham Crunch Cereal.
Chewy Granola Bars Made with Pea Protein
In January 2014, Cascadian Farm introduced a new line of chewy granola bars made with organic pea protein a protein source derived solely from plants. The bars come in packages of 5 and the MSRP is $4.49. Unlike other protein bars that can be dry and chalky, the bars from Cascadian Farm offer a chewy, indulgent texture while delivering 9g of protein per serving. The bars are perfect for a quick snack, and are an ideal choice for people looking for an alternative to bars made with dairy and soy proteins. The bars are also a wholesome alternative for vegetarians or individuals who eat an organic diet and aren't willing to sacrifice great taste. The new chewy granola bars are available nationwide at mainstream supermarkets and select natural food stores in two flavors, including:
- Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip – Made with organic peanut butter and Rainforest Alliance Certified Cocoa, these bars pack a sweet and salty punch.
- Honey Roasted Nut – Packed with organic peanuts, organic peanut butter, and organic honey, the new honey roasted nut bars deliver chewy goodness and a nutty crunch.
Graham Crunch Cereal
Cascadian Farm is pleased to introduce Graham Crunch Cereal (MSRP $3.99) to its lineup of delicious organic cereals and granolas. Available nationwide as of January 2014, new Graham Crunch Cereal offers an organic option full of wholesome graham goodness loved by the entire family. Graham Crunch Cereal is a good source of fiber with 12g of whole grains per serving.
SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES AT CASCADIAN FARM
Cascadian Farm has continued its commitment to creating an organic future by introducing a new sustainability initiative and continuing to produce its products following certified organic farming and manufacturing processes.
New cereal box liner made from renewable plant sources
In September 2013, Cascadian Farm launched its first ever cereal liner bag made from renewable plant sources. Cascadian Farm Cinnamon Crunch cereal has since been packaged in an inner liner bag made from up to 57 percent certified plant-based material. The liner is a key initiative by the brand to utilize renewable resources. Using plant-based resources that can quickly and naturally be replenished allows Cascadian Farm to take a small step towards being as closely aligned as possible with the land. Following a successful launch last fall, the liner has been rolled out to additional Cascadian Farm cereal varieties, including Multigrain Squares, Raisin Bran, Hearty Morning™, Buzz Crunch™, Fruitful O's™, Chocolate O's, Purely O's™, Honey Nut O's and the brand's latest addition, Graham Crunch.

ORGANIC EDUCATION
Organic Flat Stanley
Elementary school-aged children and their families now have a fun way to learn about organic farming through a new virtual organic farm tour made possible by Cascadian Farm and Flatter World, a social network that links K-12 teachers, students, parents and family members to the classic Flat Stanley character through a variety of creative learning opportunities. Using the iconic Flat Stanley and Flat Stella characters, the web-based application enables kids to use their creativity by developing their own characters, taking the organic farm tour and then sharing what they learn with their friends, teachers and families. The tour includes photos and information from the original Cascadian Farm site in Skagit Valley, Wash., which is still in operation today.
