DANBURY, Conn., Oct. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cartus Corporation, a leading provider of global relocation services, recently hosted its 14th annual Global Network Conference to celebrate service excellence among its supply chain partners. Cartus awarded both DMS Moving Systems and Vinelli & Scotto with a Masters Cup for overall excellence — the highest honors within its Global Network. DMS Moving Systems was named the top supplier in the category of household goods shippers. Vinelli & Scotto was named the top supplier in the category of home services.
This year's conference, themed "Today, Tomorrow, Together" was held in Chicago, Illinois, Oct. 6-8. More than 370 members of the Cartus Global Network, representing 190 companies from 43 countries, attended the event in recognition of the extraordinary achievements of network members in serving Cartus' clients and customers worldwide.
Also honored at the ceremony were those suppliers who have consistently delivered exceptional service to Cartus' customers, as well as those who invested in innovations that improved service. Award winners were named at the platinum, gold, and silver levels in the categories of "Commitment to Excellence" and "Innovation."
"Our conference theme, 'Today, Tomorrow, Together,' celebrates what we can accomplish when we work together and take advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow as the worldwide economy continues to improve," said Cartus President and CEO Kevin J. Kelleher. "The annual Global Network Conference brings us together and offers a forum for all of us to learn from one another and continue to raise the bar on performance levels. It also celebrates the power of our suppliers' association with Cartus and underscores the importance of our responsibilities to our clients and customers around the world, who depend on the expertise of our supply chain partners every day."
Each year at this event, Cartus presents a Global Citizenship Award, given to a company from among its supplier network, for its commitment to making an impact on the health, welfare, and safety of others, and/or for improving a community's quality of life on a national or international basis. The 2014 Global Citizenship winner is Arpin Group, Inc., of Rhode Island, and Cartus made a contribution to the company's designated charity.
Participants in the two-day event attended educational seminars given by various Cartus executives on the many aspects of managing an extensive supply chain, including emotional intelligence; how to maximize return on sales leads; how cultural differences can influence customer service expectations; and the Cartus quality assurance process from A to Z.
