Carson-Dellosa Announces the Guinness World Records® Classroom Challenge
Schools Are Invited to Enter for a Chance to Break or Set a Guinness World Record
GREENSBORO, N.C., Jan. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Carson-Dellosa Publishing, LLC , in partnership with Guinness World Records, has announced its first Guinness World Records® Classroom Challenge, inviting qualified K-6 teachers across America to nominate their classroom or school to break or set a Guinness World Record from January 26, 2011 – March 9, 2011 online at www.CarsonDellosa.com/record. The grand prize winner will have the chance to break an existing record or set a new record in front of an official Guinness World Records Adjudicator.

K-6 teachers can submit a written description of what their class, school or group of students would do to break an existing record or set a new record, and the reason why they want to break or set a Guinness World Record. All entries must relate to science, math, geography, social studies or language arts.
Ten finalists will be chosen on March 23, 2011 and America will be invited to vote online for the ultimate winner from March 23, 2011 – April 3, 2011. The winning entry will be announced on April 4, 2011.
The winning classroom or school will have the opportunity to break or set a Guinness World Record in front of an official Guinness World Records Adjudicator and will also receive a $1,000 Carson-Dellosa Publishing gift certificate for their school and Guinness World Records 2011 books for every classroom. Four additional prize winners will receive a $500 Carson-Dellosa Publishing gift certificate and five copies of the Guinness World Records 2011 edition.
To coincide with the Guinness World Records® Classroom Challenge, Carson-Dellosa has launched Guinness World Records products, including Math and Reading Books and Creative Writing Cards, keeping children engaged and entertained with informative, intriguing and educational content.
