Carrington College® Announces First Texas Campus in Mesquite
Applications are being accepted for medical and dental assisting programs
MESQUITE, Texas, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Carrington College® is proud to announce the opening of its newest campus in Mesquite, located at 3733 West Emporium. The college is now accepting applications for classes in medical assisting and dental assisting, which are expected to begin on Feb. 23. This is the first Carrington College location in Texas.

At its new location, Carrington College will offer certificate programs in medical assisting and dental assisting as well as a SimLink™ Experience lab which is a system of learning that uses an advanced simulation environment and custom-made scenarios. These ten-month programs are offered year-round and help prepare students for employment opportunities in physicians' or dental offices, clinics, health care centers, hospitals or other health care facilities. Clinical, administrative and externship training are included in the medical assisting coursework, while students in the dental assisting program will expand their skills performing administrative duties, patient preparation and post-operative care.
Melody Rider has been named executive director of the Mesquite campus. Prior to joining Carrington, Rider served as an executive and district manager, as well as academic dean at Lincoln College of Technology. She brings an impressive background of 16 years in educational leadership and holds a MBA from American InterContinental University and a bachelor's degree from California Lutheran University.
