Carrier Ethernet Global Interconnect Demo to Premier at Light Reading's Ethernet Europe 2010
EANTC, ancotel, and Light Reading launched a new extensive program for service providers to validate and showcase end-to-end Carrier Ethernet services across multiple carriers; the second phase of the program, including a demo, will debut at Ethernet Europe 2010
NEW YORK, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM TechWeb's Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the largest research-led media company serving the global communications marketplace, in collaboration with EANTC AG (European Advanced Networking Test Center), the leading independent test lab, and ancotel, Europe's largest carrier interconnect company, will be announcing Phase 2 results of their Advanced Global Interconnect Test Program at Ethernet Europe on April 12 & 13 in London at the Marriott Grosvenor Square.
This service provider interoperability test and showcase program, created by EANTC in collaboration with ancotel and Light Reading, will provide detailed insight into current service offerings, and help accelerate the market. The initial phase has been concluded in February. Phase 2 results will cover the following questions:
- How to map Carrier Ethernet service offerings to those of other service providers?
- How to interconnect with many partners efficiently towards global coverage?
- How to manage a wholesale Carrier Ethernet service end-to-end, using advanced CPEs?
- How to provide and verify global service-level agreements (SLAs) across interconnects?
