Dr. Lorber was most recently Vice President of Clinical Affairs for Walgreens Co., where his team focused on providing clinical expertise in disease states and evolving medical areas for the needs of Walgreens' customers to address high cost conditions in growing populations, and support improvement of clinical and financial outcomes. In his previous role at CVS Caremark, Dr. Lorber served as Vice President of Medical Affairs, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of formulary and clinical programs for their Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (PDP) that grew from no enrollees in 2005 to over 1.5 million enrollees in 2010. Dr. Lorber also currently consults in the healthcare space nationally.
Marc Lieb, M.D., J.D.
Dr. Marc Leib practiced medicine for more than 20 years as an anesthesiologist, and served as President of both the Arizona Society of Anesthesiologists (AzSA) and the Arizona Medical Association (ArMA). Most recently he served as the Chief Medical Officer of the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), Arizona's Medicaid Program, where he was responsible for determining the clinical policies governing the care provided to more than 1.5 million Arizona residents. Currently he serves as Chairman of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, committee of economics.
Edward H. Shortliffe, M.D, Ph.D.
Dr. Shortliffe is Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Senior Advisor to the Executive Vice Provost for the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. He also holds academic positions as Adjunct Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons and as Adjunct Professor of Health Policy and Research (Health Informatics) at Weill Cornell Medical College. Previously he was President and CEO of the American Medical Informatics Association and was founding dean of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.
William Yasnoff, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Yasnoff is a well-known national leader and consultant in health informatics, and serves as CEO of the non-profit Health Record Banking Alliance, which promotes community repositories of electronic health information under consumer control. Previously, as Senior Advisor, National Health Information Infrastructure, at the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, he initiated and organized activities leading to the President's creation of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, establishing the NHII as a widely-recognized national goal.
