Carolynne Whitefeather is recognized by Continental Who's Who
MILLS, N.Y., Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Carolynne Whitefeather is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Education Through Fine Arts.
Whitefeather's former professional title is Gallery Directory and Artist in Residence at Barrett Art Gallery in Utica, New York. She is the developer and provider of fine arts and cultural exhibits engaging students across the majors for design, production and hosting of exhibits. Whitefeather also brings over 15 years of experience running and maintaining art galleries to her role.
Due to the rigors of the gallery exhibits, Whitefeather has recently retired from this role, but recalls why she excelled at while in the position. "I am very dedicated to whatever my project is," Whitefeather said. "I am always on time and perfect order, a characteristic which makes me a great mentor and teacher. I have been very well-versed in my field and am an inspiration to all who know me. I attribute my success to my patience and tenacity, and believe that everyone needs both to succeed."
Her personal business, Ohua Design, LLC, based in Tallahassee, Florida, is a personally owned studio for fine art and design, exhibits and marketing of my work, and will begin new marketing in 2017 for her upcoming art exhibits. The work Is centered in the research of non-toxic printmaking. Primary subjects are cultures in earlier times with expressive art that became their identifying art –and reflects their knowledge of the natural world and how well they understood and lived with and near water, which ties in to our current societal emphasis on the conservation of water and being more eco-friendly. Her work has been supported by grants, shared outwardly in many areas of the world and has earned awards, including grants from The University of Oklahoma, Golden Artist Colours Inc, The USSD Art in Embassies Programs, and Utica College of Syracuse University.
Her artistic methods and focuses include; non-toxic printmaking, research and development, image design and visual language, and element design. Her exhibits are designed with ancillary projects that engage visitors with the exhibited collections and artists, for the purposes of higher education student advancement. Additionally, she has visual presentations as exhibit support and content [in-gallery and online features.]
Whitefeather earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking and Design from the University of Oklahoma. To further her professional development, she is a member of the College Art Association and the IWLA Association.
In recognition of her outstanding work in the field, Whitefeather has earned several faculty awards, and has been supported by numerous grants for nearly ten years. She also received an award from the Royal Order of Kameameha, and is a member of the USSD Art in Embassies program, which brings art to other countries. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, gardening, and learning about other cultures.
