Caroline S. Koblenzer is recognized by Continental Who's Who
MOORESTOWN, N.J., Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Caroline S. Koblenzer is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional Member in the field of Dermatology.
Dr. Koblenzer serves as a Dermatologist and Psychodermatologist in her own private practice, which specializes in clinical skin care and procedures, as well as psychodermatology. For the past 20 years, she has focused specifically on skin-psyche interaction, and currently serves patients in Moorestown, New Jersey.
"We see patients three days a week in our private office," Koblenzer says. "Many come a considerable distance because of the breadth of our training."
Koblenzer is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Certified in Psychoanalysis by the Board of Professional Standards of the American Psychoanalytic Association, and works in practice with her husband.
Additionally, Dr. Koblenzer is a Retired Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, is on the faculty of the Philadelphia Center for Psychoanalysis and has published a text, a number of chapters and many papers in American and European literature. She is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology; American Psychoanalytic Association; College of Physicians of Philadelphia; Philadelphia Dermatologic Society; was on the Board of the Curtis Institute of Music, and mentors young students in the psychophysical aspects of dermatology.

According to her interview with TheDermatologist.com, Dr. Koblenzer "was born and educated in England," then "came to the Philadelphia area in 1959, after working in the Sudan and British North Borneo as a 'Lady Medical Officer' with the British Overseas Civil Service." She attended a six-year medical program in the U.K., then completed a three-year Residency in Dermatology, and did six years of Psychoanalytical training.
In recognition of her outstanding accomplishments in the field, Dr. Koblenzer was awarded the Musaph Medal for Lifetime Achievement from the European Society for Psychiatry and Dermatology in 2011. She was also named to the Healthgrades Honor Roll.
When she's not working, Koblenzer attends operas and concerts, and plays piano. She also enjoys reading, and watching movies. Her goals for the future are to educate dermatologists about the interaction between skin and emotions, and to keep making a difference in people's lives.
Dr. Koblenzer dedicates this recognition to her husband, Dr. Peter Koblenzer. She also enjoys spending time with her three adult children -- two of whom are physicians and one who is an attorney, as well as her six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
