Carnegie Hill Endoscopy to Hold an Open House Showcasing New, State-of-the-art FUSE Technology
NEW YORK, Nov. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The anticipated open house celebration for Carnegie Hill Endoscopy (CHE), located at 1516 Lexington Avenue on New York's Upper East Side, will take place on December 4, 2014.
The 15,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art medical facility is a joint venture with Beth Israel Medical Center, a coalition of 22 local GI physicians, and Physicians Endoscopy (PE), a development and management company.
The five procedure-room center has recently been selected to premier the brand new, cutting-edge FUSE™ Full Spectrum Endoscopy™. CHE is the only ASC in New York to offer this revolutionary tool in colonoscopy to its patients and is holding this open house to invite other area physicians to see the new technology for themselves and to speak with the CHE physicians using this new scope. The physicians at CHE are confident that once their colleagues see for themselves the undeniable benefit of FUSE, they will recommend that their patients needing a colonoscopy take advantage of this available technology.
"It's been twenty years since there has been major innovation in colonoscopy. To date, standard, forward-viewing scopes give the physician a limited 170 degree field of view (similar to driving a car with blinders on). Carnegie Hill Endoscopy is pleased to offer our patients the latest advancement in endoscope technology – FUSE Full Spectrum Endoscopy. FUSE removes these "blinders" by providing a panoramic 330 degree view of the colon, almost double the view of standard colonoscopes. It enables our physicians to detect a significantly higher number of potentially pre-cancerous polyps and provide you with the peace of mind in knowing you received the most advanced screening available," said Blair Lewis, MD, Medical Director of CHE. "Our experience with FUSE has been a 10% increase in polyp detection and a decrease in the amount of Propofol used in each case. FUSE offers a clear advantage to patients."
The open house celebration, organized by the management team at CHE and hosted by the physicians, will be held from 5:30-8:30 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2014 when over 150 guests from the local medical community, joined by their guests, and local officials, will be introduced to the facility and the new technology.
