Carlton-Bates Announces Second Expansion in Two Weeks
Selects Coursey to Lead Venture
LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Nov. 12, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Carlton-Bates, a subsidiary of WESCO Distribution, Inc. and leader in the industrial distribution market, is announcing its second expansion in two weeks. Carlton-Bates will now have a presence in the Denver market through an addition to its field sales force. Kevin Coursey will lead the new operation as the new market field sales representative. The announcement was made today by Carlton-Bates and WESCO group vice president and general manager, Todd Farnsworth, who announced a similar expansion in the Indianapolis market just last week.
The new location in the WESCO Denver branch will enable Carlton-Bates to better serve its Denver area clients. The move will also enhance the partnership with WESCO by allowing Carlton-Bates to provide products and solutions to WESCO customers. With the addition of Carlton-Bates, the Denver facility will be a one-stop resource for a wide range of industrial products.
"We are moving into new markets in an effort to provide unmatched customer service, convenience and products to our customers. This expansion into Denver is part of a strategic plan, which calls for the opening of several new Carlton-Bates branches within the next two years. We are committed to our partnership with WESCO and looking forward to being more flexible in meeting the needs our customers," Farnsworth said. "Kevin's experience is exactly what we need to usher us into the Denver market. We are pleased to have him on-board."
As field sales representative, Coursey will be responsible for all sales, new business development, and account management in the Denver market. He will manage service delivery. Coursey has extensive experience in developing and growing sales while working with multiple departments to build working business relationships.
