About CARLOS J. CARDENAS, MD

Dr. Cardenas has over 20 years experience as a physician.  He specializes in gastroenterology and internal medicine at South Texas Gastroenterology Associates.  Dr. Cardenas currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees with the Texas Medical Association.  He is affiliated with A.C.P., A.M.A. and T.M.A.  He received his A.A. at Austin College in Sherman, Texas in 1981 and his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 1985.  His Residency and Fellowship were completed at Scott White Memorial Hospital in 1988.  In his spare time, Dr. Cardenas enjoys hunting, fishing and playing lead guitar.
