Carl Bass, Former Autodesk CEO, Joins Zoox Board of Directors
MENLO PARK, Calif., Oct. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Zoox, Inc. announced today the appointment of Carl Bass as an independent director of the company.
Bass retired as President and CEO of Autodesk earlier this year, having served in that role since 2006, taking the company from a market cap of $2 billion to $18 billion during his tenure. He has served as an advisor to Zoox since 2016.

Bass's appointment expands the Zoox Board of Directors to seven. He joins Heidi Roizen, Laurie Yoler, Dan Cooperman, Thomas Tull, and co-Founders Tim Kentley-Klay and Dr. Jesse Levinson.
Bass co-founded Ithaca Software, which was acquired by Autodesk in 1993. During his 24-year tenure at Autodesk, he served in key operational roles across the organization. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Zendesk Inc., Planet, and Autodesk; on the board of trustees of the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Art Center College of Design, and California College of the Arts; and on the advisory boards of Cornell Computing and Information Science, UC Berkeley School of Information, and UC Berkeley College of Engineering.
