Cargolux Airlines Selects Pratt & Whitney Engine Management Program
MADRID, Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MRO EUROPE -- Cargolux Airlines has selected Pratt & Whitney for an Engine Management Program agreement providing on-wing engine health monitoring. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.
Under the agreement, Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners will use its web-based Advanced Diagnostics & Engine Management (ADEM™) tools to provide engine performance monitoring services for the airline's fleet powered by PW4056 engines.
"Pratt & Whitney's Engine Management Program offers tools and provides expert analysis of data to help us detect and isolate issues early before a potential larger problem occurs," said Alex Wecker, Cargolux Airlines Maintenance Engineering and Fleet Planning vice president. "This proactive solution will reduce our maintenance costs and improve the efficiency of our fleet."
