Cargill Names Sarena Lin Corporate Vice President, Strategy & Business Development
MINNEAPOLIS, May 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cargill today announced that Sarena Lin has been named corporate vice president, strategy and business development. Lin succeeds Jim Haymaker who will retire after 38 years of service to the company.
Lin comes to Cargill after 13 years at McKinsey and Company, serving in managing partner and principal roles in Taiwan and New York. Lin has extensive experience in business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain and strategic sourcing. Earlier in her career, she also held product management roles with Proctor & Gamble and Xerox Corporation.
She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard, a master of arts degree in international relations from Yale and an MBA in strategy from the Yale School of Management.

In addition to her SBD role, Lin will become a member of Cargill's Corporate Center, the company's senior most management body representing leadership across businesses and functions.

For the last 20 years, Haymaker worked with strategy and business development teams in supply chain, and mergers and acquisitions, among other areas. Prior to that, Haymaker held a number of assignments in Cargill businesses, as well as in the consumer marketing department.
