CareSpot in Lee's Summit: Seventh Center in Partnership with HCA Midwest
Broader Access to Urgent Care in Kansas City Area
KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CareSpot and HCA Midwest Health System continue expanding their partnership with a seventh urgent care center opening April 11, 2014 in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The center is located at 228 Northwest Oldham Parkway, just west of MO Highway 50 in Summit Shopping Center. CareSpot will be open 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
On Saturday, April 12 from 11am – 1pm, the general public is invited to a Grand Opening Celebration. During this time, the community is invited to stop by the Lee's Summit center to meet the staff, enjoy light refreshments, and register to win a digital tablet and other giveaways. The first 100 visitors to tour the center will receive a care kit which includes $200 worth of valuable health care savings to use throughout the year.
The Lee's Summit CareSpot is a 4,000-square-foot freestanding facility located south and east of John Knox Village. Local residents will be familiar with the former Waid's restaurant (now Freddy's) landmark -- the Lee's Summit CareSpot can be found directly north of it. This new location will offer the same broad variety of urgent care and occupational health services available at the six other area CareSpot centers found in Leawood, Overland Park North, Overland Park South, Parkville, Raytown, and South Kansas City. The Lee's Summit location is convenient to residents of Raintree Lake, Eagle Creek, Bent Tree Bluffs, Longview Farms, Winterset, Stoney Creek, Newcastle, and Ashton at Charleston Park subdivisions.
"We're excited about our seventh location in the Kansas City area. This expanded presence means greater awareness of our broad service offering and continues to deliver on our goal of providing a variety of locations convenient to where people live and work," said Paul Dickison, Vice President of Marketing for CareSpot. "Additionally, our partner HCA Midwest has a particularly strong presence in Lee's Summit with Lee's Summit Medical Center, as well as with many other providers' and specialists' offices. It's helpful to have such a well-respected hospital and physician network nearby if CareSpot patients need more specialized or follow-up care following a visit."
To offer convenience to those with busy lifestyles, all Kansas City area CareSpot centers are open 8am – 8pm, seven days a week. Patients also benefit from the convenience of online and mobile scheduling tools. At CareSpot.com, customers can save a spot in line from home before walking in, or book an appointment from their computers or smartphones. Digital check-in tablets at the centers also offer patients the benefit of a nearly paperless, streamlined registration experience.
CareSpot offers healthcare services for non-emergent medical problems that can develop unexpectedly and require immediate attention, filling the gap between primary care physicians and hospital emergency rooms. Most insurance plans are accepted. Patients receive the staffing benefits and expertise of a proven network of CareSpot urgent care centers combined with the option to access the broader resources of a large hospital and physician system if a higher level of care is required. All centers in the area operate as CareSpot in partnership with HCA Midwest Health System. CareSpot manages daily business operations.
