Westside:
On January 16, the Westside center will relocate across the street from its current location to 5964 Normandy Boulevard — a much larger, newly renovated space to better serve urgent care and occupational health patients.
The new 6,180-square-foot Westside center is nearly twice the size of many CareSpot locations, with half of its space and staff dedicated to occupational health services, and the other half dedicated to urgent care and health check services. A CareSpot center on Ramona Boulevard that specialized in occupational health will close to combine with this new facility which offers larger procedure rooms and an updated, spacious interior for an optimal patient experience.
Clay County:
A new center is also opening in Middleburg at 1708 Blanding Boulevard on January 20 as a convenient option for Clay County residents. The general public is invited to a grand opening celebration at the Middleburg center on Saturday, January 18 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Tours of the center will be available, along with refreshments, games, an appearance by Wolfie (the mascot of Wolfson Children's Hospital), and the chance to win an electronic tablet and other prizes.
CareSpot in Middleburg is a brand-new facility located directly in front of Lowe's on Blanding Boulevard, north of Branan Field Road. This center is the second CareSpot in Clay County, offering convenient access to walk-in or scheduled healthcare services to those who live or work in Middleburg and surrounding areas. Additionally, this center is a short drive from the Baptist Clay Medical Campus, where a Wolfson Children's Hospital ER for kids is open 24/7, featuring a pediatric emergency medicine physician on-site from 10 am to 10 pm.
"Together, CareSpot and Baptist Health are creating a total brand experience that delivers on the promise of quality, convenient and affordable health care," notes CareSpot CEO Michael D. Klein. "Patients at all CareSpot centers have the convenience of online and mobile scheduling tools at CareSpot.com. They can save a spot in line before walking in, or book an appointment for a future time or day from computers or smartphones." Klein adds, "Other conveniences include an electronic health records system shared among all CareSpot locations, as well as new check-in tablets which are seamlessly integrated with CareSpot.com and all center systems for a nearly paperless check-in experience."
"Baptist Health provides another dimension to quality care at CareSpot," explains Baptist Health Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer John Wilbanks. "We work closely to coordinate follow-up care for CareSpot patients when it's needed. While always honoring patient preferences, our goal is to make the next step in care as easy and seamless as possible, whether it's connecting a patient to a primary care physician, specialist, or even to hospital care."
Furthermore, continuity of care is enhanced for patients who use both CareSpot and Baptist Primary Care; clinicians now have electronic access to patient care information to ensure that caregivers in all settings have access to important information such as current medications, allergies, and pre-existing conditions.
