CareSouth's Expansion In Florida Means More Jobs In Georgia
AUGUSTA, Ga., Aug. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CareSouth Health System, Inc., the largest privately held home health care company in Georgia and a leading provider of non-acute care in the country, today announced that it has expanded its health care services throughout Florida with the purchase of key assets of Alliance Care. Alliance Care is a provider of home health care, private duty and physician house call services. The expansion will result in more jobs created in the state of Georgia, where CareSouth's corporate offices are located. The transaction was finalized on August 8, 2012 and is one of the largest transactions in the history of CareSouth.
CareSouth corporate offices are located in Augusta where the company currently employs almost 100 full-time corporate staff in addition to the more than 900 employees in agencies across seven states. As a result of the expansion, positions have been added in upper level management, Information Technology, graphic arts, clinical services, human resources, and other ancillary positions within the Augusta facility. The company anticipates hiring additional people as the integration of the new business is completed.

The company has taken over Alliance Care operations, now doing business as CareSouth Homecare Professionals in Bethesda, Boynton Beach, Bradenton, Dundee, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Largo, Ormond Beach, Sarasota, Tampa and West Palm Beach. CareSouth will retain most of the former Alliance Care employees, and will increase that employee base in the near future.
