CareCentrix Moves Headquarters To Hartford, Connecticut
Connecticut First Five Company Moves to Larger Location to Support Continued Growth
HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Eric Reimer, CEO of CareCentrix, Inc., the nation's leading provider of home health benefits management services, joined by Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, Mayor Pedro Segarra, and Commissioner Catherine Smith, cut the ribbon on the company's new headquarters at 20 Church Street today. This new location will accommodate CareCentrix's growing workforce, as demand for the company's services continues to increase. CareCentrix has more than tripled its employees in Hartford, from 65 in 2008, to 240 today. The company will add over a 100 employees in their Hartford location this year and anticipates bringing more than 300 new jobs to the city over the next five years.
"Our growth is a direct result of our company's commitment to support people by delivering high quality health care in the convenience of their homes," said Eric Reimer, chief executive officer, CareCentrix. "It has been exciting for us to play an increasingly significant role in supporting health care payers and providers in improving patient outcomes through the delivery of high quality, cost-effective home health care. We are proud that the growth of our services has enabled CareCentrix to contribute to growing jobs in Connecticut."
In 2012, Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy named CareCentrix to the state's First Five program, which recognizes and provides incentives to businesses that create a minimum of 200 new, full-time jobs in the state within five years. CareCentrix is investing millions of dollars in its new headquarters, which spans 30,000 square feet. In addition to growing its presence in Hartford, CareCentrix has offices across the United States, operating customer care centers in Tampa, Fla.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Albuquerque, N.M.; and Kansas City, Kansas.
"I am pleased to officially welcome CareCentrix to the Capital City," said Governor Malloy. "Connecticut will fight to keep every job, and we are using new, innovative economic tools like the First Five program to attract companies that will create good jobs here in our state. Partnering with the business community and improving the economic climate is critical to strengthening our competitiveness."
Founded in 1996 as part of Gentiva Health Services, Inc., CareCentrix became an independent company in 2008. Since then, the company has grown its customer base to more than 30 million people and a network of 7,000 homecare providers. CareCentrix works on behalf of health plans to coordinate their members' care for home nursing, home infusion therapy and home medical equipment. These home-based health care services help prevent hospital readmissions and other costly events.
CareCentrix currently has 110 open positions in its Hartford location, and will be holding a job fair on Saturday, January 12, at its 20 Church Street location from 10 am to 3 pm.
