Care Angel will be pitching ANGEL, the world's first artificially intelligent caregiver. Her award winning, patent-pending, caring personality is infused into a Voice-Powered Telemonitoring platform that aims to give millions of family caregivers peace of mind by empowering families to more effectively participate in the caregiving and keeping aging loved ones safe while they age at home. ANGEL's high touch, low-tech approach delivers high quality eldercare through simple check-in Care Calls on a regular phone, eliminating the need for a senior to have a smart phone, costly hardware or confusing software. This enables her to reach ~90% of seniors aging at home on their regular landlines or cell phones, as 75%+ do not have smart phones or technology to help them adhere to medications, care plans or receive much needed guidance.
ANGEL acts as an intelligent "Voice-Powered Telemonitoring" assistant, providing millions of family caregivers with peace of mind and ongoing clear insights to a loved one's well-being while helping lower costs for the health care industry. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and voice recognition, ANGEL empowers the elderly to be healthier, safer and to age more gracefully and independently at home.
During a typical 2-minute check-in Care Call, ANGEL asks simple questions in a conversational manner to gather information about physical and emotional well-being measures that includes medication adherence and overall vitals, all the while delivering care instructions, reminders and condition and procedure specific patient education. The answers collected during the Care Calls are converted to simple Dashboard Notifications, Alerts, Care Insights & Reports on the Caregiver APP. If answers indicate something isn't right, ANGEL instantly notifies the circle of care and can triage to live help when necessary to prevent minor incidents from escalating.
AARP's Health Innovation@50+ LivePitch event, held at Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, CA, begins with speaking sessions on caregiving, and then a keynote with Nancy LeaMond, chief advocacy and engagement officer, AARP. The afternoon will showcase ten companies, including Care Angel, who were selected from over 200 applicants.
The finalists will be presenting their business focus on stage before a panel of expert judges and an audience filled with AARP members, the actual intended end users of these solutions. Representing AARP's 38 million members, these consumers will share feedback in real-time on business viability, interest and value, providing the companies invaluable market data on the spot. Wolf Shlagman, Chief Angel and co-founder of Care Angel, will explain how Angel will solve unique healthcare needs of aging loved ones and their caregivers.
