CLEVELAND, May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CardioInsight Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of non-invasive electrocardiographic mapping technology, announced today that it will host a symposium during the Heart Rhythm Society's upcoming 34th Annual Scientific Sessions from May 8 – 11, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. The company-sponsored symposium will highlight the growing clinical experience associated with the Company's ECVUE™ system*, and discuss the present and future role of the Company's unique non-invasive electrocardiographic mapping platform to help physicians map electrical disorders of the heart. CardioInsight's platform will also be featured in ten clinical abstract presentations from leading medical centers further demonstrating the impact of this technology platform in electrophysiology (EP) clinical practice.

Several scientific presentations will highlight the latest clinical results associated with the Company's novel non-invasive multiple chamber panoramic mapping technology. The feasibility and clinical evolution of this approach has been serially presented at prominent EP conferences, including at the Boston AF symposium earlier this year.
Scientific results on the role of the system to assess electrical synchrony during CRT will also be a key focus of the presentations. These results have recently been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC).
To date, the CardioInsight system has been used on more than 700 patients in a variety of cardiac arrhythmias at leading clinical centers. Results of the studies have been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, and presented at international clinical conferences.
The symposium, chaired by Dr. Francis Marchlinski, Professor of Medicine and Director of the Electrophysiology Program and Electrophysiology Laboratory at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 9:30 AM in Rhythm Theater #2. The program will feature the following presentations and speakers;
- Non-Invasive Electrocardiographic Mapping for Complex Arrhythmias (Sabine Ernst, M.D., Ph.D., Honorary Senior Lecturer and Lead for Electrophysiology Research at the Royal Brompton & Harefield)
- Non-Invasive Biventricular Electrical Synchrony Mapping in CRT (Jagmeet Singh, M.D.,Ph.D., Director, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Program and Director, Holter Program at Massachusetts General Hospital)
- Non-Invasive Biatrial Panoramic AF Mapping for Persistent AF (Michel Haissaguerre, M.D., Professor, Hopital Cardiologique du Haut-Leveque, Bordeaux, France)
- Current & Future Role of Non-Invasive Electrocardiographic Mapping in Clinical Practice
The Company has received its CE Mark for the ECVUE system. The system is intended for acquiring and processing electrocardiographic signals to display cardiac epicardial maps and electrograms for analysis by a physician to aid in the diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias (Warning: The safety and effectiveness of the use of the device for ablation planning and ablation catheter guidance has not been demonstrated.).
* ECVUE™ & ECSYNC™ are not yet cleared or approved for use by the FDA.
About CardioInsight Technologies Inc.
CardioInsight is developing and commercially validating a revolutionary technology that non-invasively generates 3D images of the electrical activity of the heart. The images help physicians map electrical disorders of the heart. The Company's ECVUE™ system non-invasively generates real-time, whole heart images of the electrical activity on the surface of the heart by combining body surface electrical data with 3D anatomical data obtained from imaging scans. It then reconstructs and displays 3D images and other useful measures of cardiac electrical activity as if the measurements were taken directly from the surface of the heart.
