About New York Cares: New York Cares is New York City's largest volunteer management organization, running programs for 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies, and public schools. The agency works hand-in-hand with nonprofit social service agencies, churches, schools, and shelters in New York to make sure coats are distributed as quickly as they are collected. In addition to the working poor, thousands of homeless New Yorkers will also need a coat to help them negotiate the harsh realities of winter—without a place to store their coat during the summer, 90% of our homeless population will rely on a donated coat this winter to keep from freezing.
About the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association: GNYADA represents over 400 franchised community-based new car retailers throughout greater New York whose philanthropic activities help support hospitals, schools, little leagues, and good causes throughout metro New York all year round. GNYADA represents over 400 franchised automobile dealerships in the metro area of New York, selling more than 429,000 new and used cars each year. Collectively, GNYADA members inject $27.1 billion into the economy and generate $1.83 billion in tax revenue for New York while helping to sustain a workforce of nearly 58,000. GNYADA also operates the Center for Automotive Education & Training and organizes the New York International Automobile Show—the largest and oldest auto show in North America.
