CAQC Status for A+ Training Awarded to K Alliance
CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum (CAQC) status is recognized as a hallmark of quality by educational institutions, training organizations, and students
TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- K Alliance has received CAQC status for A+ certification training, adding prestige and validating the company's training program for quality. CAQC, which stands for CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum, approval is highly sought after by training providers that produce materials covering CompTIA certifications. This designation requires submitting an application, having the course reviewed by approved industry experts, meeting strict quality standards, and agreeing to the appropriate use of CompTIA's trademarks, logos, and other licensing requirements.
"The review process was worth going through," Hugh Nguyen from K Alliance explained. "We were confident that our CompTIA A+ training course would earn CAQC approval because we developed it using our own strict standards for quality. One of CompTIA's main requirements is that the course must cover 100 percent of the current A+ exam objectives - ours does that. Another requirement involves having virtual or hands-on labs for each of the exams' major domains - again, our course does that."
CompTIA also requires that its logo for the certification and use of the CompTIA trademark are used correctly and that standard CAQC language be inserted into the course.
The A+ certification program from CompTIA is an entry-level certification recognized throughout the technical industry worldwide. CompTIA expects all A+ certificate holders to have a basic set of computer skills encompassing software installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, networking, and computer security. A+ candidates must demonstrate their foundational computer skills through the examination process, which involves successfully passing two A+ certification exams. Training courses prepare candidates for these exams using a variety of formats such as traditional classes, study guides, and A+ training videos.
"Our course covers everything the two A+ certification exams test," Nguyen says. "It also provides students with a complete set of skills that they can put to use immediately in the IT industry."
