Captain Morgan Fantasy Fest Parade Safe Ride Buses Return

KEY WEST, Fla., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Placing a premium on responsibility, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum and the City of Key West Department of Transportation are proud to announce the return of Captain Morgan's Safe Ride buses to Fantasy Fest 2010. The Safe Ride buses provide all Fantasy Fest revelers with free public transportation from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2010.

"My friends, every great night starts with a plan, so climb aboard my Safe Ride buses this Halloween," said Captain Morgan.

The City of Key West and Captain Morgan started the Safe Ride bus program in 2005, and have provided thousands of consumers with safe rides to and from the Captain Morgan Fantasy Fest Parade since, eliminating worries about parking, traffic and drinking and driving alternatives.

"With service from Key West to Marathon, this is a great way to get around responsibly on Saturday night," said Myra Wittenberg, Director of the Key West Department of Transportation.

The Captain Morgan Fantasy Fest Parade features brilliant bands, outlandish dancers and more than 70 dazzling floats - some blaring music and some sporting elaborate creatures of fantasy. Parade participants celebrate with onlookers in the spirit of Mardi Gras. On Saturday night, Captain Morgan and his crew of Morganettes will lead a cavalcade of floats down Duval Street while upwards of 70,000 costumed revelers line the streets of the historic route.

Captain Morgan Safe Ride buses will be available throughout Key West and the Lower Keys with continuous service operating from 5 p.m. on October 30 to 2 a.m. on October 31. Buses will be clearly marked as Captain Morgan Safe Rides. Please remember the last departure from Key West with return trip services to the Lower Keys areas will depart Key West at 12:30 am.
