AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Capson Physicians Insurance Company, a national medical malpractice insurer, announced the addition of a new executive, strengthening its management team and supporting strategic efforts to offer the medical industry a unique and efficient approach to medical malpractice insurance.

Frank Coppersmith has joined Capson Physicians Insurance as Senior Vice President responsible for Technology and Strategic Partnerships. Frank brings more than 22 years of experience in the technology industry, most recently as Chief Operating Officer of GameSalad, a leading tool for mobile application development, where he oversaw operations of the company's Austin studio and led development of the company's tools and platforms. Previously, Frank served as Vice President, Finance and Administration for Challenge Online Games, a venture-backed startup later sold to Zynga, and as General Counsel to Toppan Photomasks, a worldwide manufacturer of semiconductor materials.

Frank holds an MBA in Finance and Operations Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a law degree from Samford University, and a degree in electrical engineering from The Citadel. Frank was named the Austin Business Journal's Top CFO for small companies for 2010.
