CAPP adopts SeeUnity Sync Studio
Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) selects SeeUnity for enterprise content synchronization
DENVER, Feb. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers has announced the recent adoption of Sync Studio. Developed by SeeUnity, Sync Studio enables organizations to automate synchronized transfer of content between multiple repositories, including on-premise ECM systems and cloud services.
According to Jeremy Creaghan, IS Manager, CAPP was motivated to improve the process by which it published content from their OpenText eDOCS system, to a SharePoint extranet used by member companies.
"We had an in-house custom system that was increasingly difficult to support," said Mr. Creaghan. "There were a number of difficulties, but generally, content publishing had become an IT-dependent process. We selected SeeUnity's product because Sync Studio could automate publishing and provide self-service tools. This will allow us to increase the overall volume of content being published and made available to extranet users, while actually reducing IT's involvement in day-to-day publishing." Mr. Creaghan cited additional features that qualified the Sync Studio product, including security and support for bidirectional synchronization.
"CAPP is a great use case for our product," said Brant Henne, Marketing Director at SeeUnity. "They have a large number of extranet user committees, each with their own sites requiring eDOCS content. They also need to generate more of these sites, pre-loaded with content, on a regular basis. With Sync Studio's automation capabilities, I'm confident that publishing will become a near-invisible, push-button process for CAPP, freeing up more content and IT resources at the same time."
