Capitol Partners Welcomes Mike Caputo and Rebecca Kuhns to the Firm's Team
CLEVELAND, Dec. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Matthew Cox, President of Capitol Partners, announced today that the firm has added veteran lobbyists Mike Caputo and Rebecca Kuhns. Caputo joins as a Partner and Kuhns has been named Vice President of Government Relations. Both come from a Cleveland-based business advisory and advocacy firm.
Caputo joins partners Cox, Eric Weldele and Rob Frost and brings 19 years of experience in government, politics and lobbying. His practice focuses primarily on state policy, including appropriation measures, rule-making procedures and strategic advocacy coordination. Additionally, Caputo regularly assists clients seeking economic incentives for business expansion and investment.
While in state government, Caputo worked for two Ohio Senate Presidents as a policy aide and served as a Deputy District Director for Ohio Governor Bob Taft.
Mike received a B.A. in Political Science from John Carroll University in 1998.
Based in Columbus, Kuhns has more than five years experience successfully lobbying for clients on a broad range of issues. Prior to becoming a lobbyist in 2011, Kuhns worked as a legislative aide for the Ohio Senate and House of Representatives. As an aide to legislators who held leadership positions, Rebecca was intimately involved in the state budgeting process and worked to facilitate passage of a wide-range of legislative provisions.
Capitol Partners is the only independent state lobbying firm with offices in Cleveland and Columbus. With the addition of Caputo and Kuhns, the firm will have the largest Cleveland presence of any state lobbying firm.
