MIDDLETON, Wis., Feb. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Capitol Insurance Companies ("Capitol") of Middleton, Wisconsin announced this week that Kevin A. Klestinski has been named Vice President of Property & Casualty Underwriting, Richard F. Boettner has been promoted to Director of Underwriting - Brokerage & General Agent Binding, and David W. Schirmer has accepted the position of Director of Audit & Product Development.
Kevin A. Klestinski joined Capitol in 2006 as Director of Marketing Operations. In this position, he provided leadership to the Marketing staff to include the planning, organizing and directing of the day-to-day operations. Kevin also worked closely with Property & Casualty Underwriting to set the strategic marketing direction for the company. In November 2008, Kevin became Director of Property & Casualty Underwriting - Independent Agents, working with underwriting staff and management to produce a continuously increasing and profitable book of business.
Kevin has a B.A. in Business Administration from St. Norbert College. In addition, he has earned designations as a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), an Associate in Underwriting (AU), a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and an Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI).
Richard F. Boettner joined Capitol in July 2002 as Staff Services Director, moved into the Property & Casualty Underwriting Department in May 2004 as Property & Casualty Manager, and was promoted to Director of Property & Casualty Underwriting - Independent Agents in April 2005. In March of 2006, Rick became the Director of Property & Casualty Underwriting - Brokerage. In this position, he has provided leadership to the Brokerage Underwriting staff to include the planning, organizing and directing of the day-to-day operations.
Rick has a B.A. in Theology & Philosophy from St. Francis College, and is a certified continuing education instructor, teaching various industry education courses to include CPCU and introductory AICPCU/The Institutes courses. In addition, he has earned designations as a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), an Associate in Risk Management (ARM), a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and an Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI).
David W. Schirmer joined Capitol in June 2003 as Underwriting Manager of Capitol Specialty Insurance Company, becoming Director of Underwriting - General Agents in April 2005. Dave has accepted the position of Director of Audit and Product Development, and will focus on P&C Underwriting changes and product development. As Capitol continues to roll-out new and exciting initiatives to better serve their customers, which include "FasTrack" (3-hour service delivery), new product initiatives and innovative technologies, this position will ensure they have focus on these strategic initiatives. Dave has a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
