Capitol Counsel Brings on Veteran Republican Lobbyist Bob Brooks as Partner

WASHINGTON, May 8, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Capitol Counsel is pleased to announce the addition of veteran Republican lobbyist Bob Brooks to the firm, effective June 1st.  Brooks will join the firm as Partner and will focus on tax, energy and trade issues.

Brooks joins Capitol Counsel from the Alpine Group, where he led the firm's tax practice.  Brooks has a wealth of experience on Capitol Hill, serving as Chief-of-Staff to former U.S. Representative from Louisiana and Capitol Counsel Partner Jim McCrery.

Brooks maintains strong relationships with the Ways and Means Committee and is well known among Republican Leadership in the House.  As a member of numerous Republican steering committees, Brooks continues to serve as a trusted advisor to many powerful leaders in both the public and private sectors.

Prior to his tenure on Capitol Hill, Brooks was in private practice as an attorney in Little Rock, Arkansas.  A native of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Brooks has a BSBA degree from the University of Arkansas and received his law degree from the University of Tulsa.
