Capital IQ's New Research Insight Release Provides Global Daily Market Data and Adds Workflow Automation
Research Insight v8.6 incorporates new data and database technology for increased flexibility and efficiency
NEW YORK, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital IQ, a Standard & Poor's business, today announced the availability of the latest version of Research Insight. Research Insight v8.6 provides clients with detailed global daily market data as far back as 1984, including Compustat's Total Returns data. The release includes a workflow automation tool, which streamlines automation of basic tasks and incorporates new database technology, providing more robust and larger databases. Additionally, product configuration components have been dramatically simplified with a new user interface.
Research Insight's global daily market data upgrade provides subscribers a comprehensive data set for market performance analysis. Adding daily market data and Total Return concepts for non-North American companies makes it possible for analysts to determine daily returns, daily weightings, daily price changes, as well as calculate total return over user-defined periods, on a global scale.
In addition, the new automation tool in Research Insight streamlines the workflow from commonly used tasks, such as screening and reporting. The workflows can be scheduled to run on a recurring basis or run on demand.
"A new user interface for configuration and database management tasks, such as selecting databases to work with and scheduling regular database updates, consolidates commonly used functionality into a single location, resulting in a more intuitive user experience," said Doug Dashiell, Research Insight product manager. "We believe the workflow feature will be very valuable to clients who use Research Insight's powerful analytics to generate data, and then extract it from the platform for use with other databases or in other applications."
"Capital IQ strives to continue to provide the analytical tools the financial marketplace needs," said Randall Winn, executive managing director at Capital IQ. "These recent enhancements to the Research Insight application underline our commitment to understanding clients' needs, and our ability to rapidly develop and deliver solutions that streamline the alpha generation process."
