Capital Gold Group Donates to Pakistan Flood Relief

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The heart-wrenching destruction caused by the worst floods in recorded history in Pakistan have inspired a corporate donation by Capital Gold Group, Inc. to the American Red Cross, which is providing aid to victims of the disaster.

With nearly one-fifth of the entire country underwater, 20 million people have been affected. Over 6 million people are in desperate need of clean water and food, and 2 million are homeless. The floods have claimed over 1,600 lives, a number which could easily double due to cholera and other deadly forms of diarrhea, creating a disaster of immense magnitude.

However, according to news reports, the good will and generosity that natural disasters typically inspire is just not present because of Pakistan's reputation, which is hampering donations. Notably, no global fundraisers are currently in planning similar to the effort on behalf of the earthquake victims in Haiti, Hope for Haiti Now.
