Capital Forensics Inc. (CFI) appoints FINRA Surveillance Director, Kamran Fotouhi, as Executive Vice President. Mr. Fotouhi has spent his 20-year career in the financial industry predominantly advising on compliance-related matters. Most recently, Kamran worked at FINRA as Surveillance Director for the Dallas District. In that role, he identified and addressed current and emerging risk, while monitoring member firms' compliance with applicable rules and regulations.  

Prior to FINRA, Kamran was the Compliance Liaison for First Clearing, a Wells Fargo division, where he advised and collaborated with senior leadership of correspondent firms, legal, compliance, and outside vendors.  He spent several years with Wachovia Securities as Assistant Vice President in the product compliance unit. 

Kamran's career began as an Assistant Portfolio Manager for First Commercial Capital Management and then as a Financial Consultant for Merrill Lynch. He later became a Senior Compliance Examiner for the NASD and a Compliance Auditor for USAA Investment Management Company.

Mr. Fotouhi earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from San Diego State University and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He holds Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 securities registrations. He is also a member of the Dallas CFA Society.
