Capital Dancesport Championships Feature Dancing Superstars To Raise Prostate Cancer Awareness & Benefit AdMeTech Foundation's Dance for the Cure

WHAT, WHEN AND WHERE:
Celebrities of two megahit TV shows – Toni Redpath of the FOX TV's So You Think You Can Dance and Wendy Johnson of ABC TV's Dancing with the Stars - are featured by prestigious Capital Dancesport Championships to benefit AdMeTech Foundation's Dance for the Cure of Prostate Cancer on August 26 through 28 in Alexandria, Virginia at the Hilton Mark Center. On Saturday August 28, Capital Dancesport will debut workshops and "meet, greet & mingle" reception with Ms. Redpath and Ms. Johnson between 4 and 6 pm, and later in the evening, will feature a show specially choreographed by Ms. Johnson. On Thursday, August 26 and Friday, August 27, Capital Dancesport will pioneer Dance for the Cure Championships showcasing top national talent in ballroom dancing. Dance for the Cure was established by AdMeTech Foundation to raise public awareness and support for the advancement of early detection and treatment of prostate cancer.

Superstars of Dancing: Toni Redpath is a Judge and a Choreographer on the FOX TV's So You Think You Can Dance. She performed for the feature film Dance with Me and numerous TV programs, including Championship Ballroom Dancing and PBS series America's Ballroom Challenge. Wendy Johnson is a Choreographer and Coach for many cast members of the ABC's Dancing with the Stars. She is a three-time winner of the Choreographer of the Year Award for North America, and has taken part in many other TV shows, including 25 appearances on The Merv Griffin Show (who died of prostate cancer).
Leaders of medicine will include Dr Faina Shtern, President of the AdMeTech Foundation & former Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at the National Cancer Institute, where in the 90s she provided leadership for the development and implementation of the advanced breast cancer imaging technologies currently accepted as "the state-of-the-art" care.
Capital Dancesport Championships' Organizers: Mr. John DePalma and Ms. Marianne Nicole, recognized leaders and trend-setters of the dancing community, are pioneering Dance for the Cure Championships, Workshops and a specially choreographed Show in honor of their friends stricken by prostate cancer.
