ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Oct. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CH2M HILL recently organized their third annual Canstruction® event to benefit Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico with six other local businesses and organizations: PR Newswire, U.S. Forest Service, the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails, Bohannan Huston, Occam Consulting Engineers and the City of Albuquerque's Municipal Development Department. Canstruction is a trademarked design/build competition founded by the Society for Design Administration (SDA). Each team had a 4-foot-by-8-foot space and two hours to build structures from nonperishable food goods (cans and boxes) they had collected or purchased specially for their Canstruction project. The Canstruction collaboration resulted in 7,029 pounds of food and $380.00 donated to Roadrunner Food Bank to benefit vulnerable populations in Albuquerque and New Mexico.
