Canopy Health Launches Bay Area's Newest Provider-Sponsored Health Plan

EMERYVILLE, Calif., Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Canopy Health has officially launched and is pursuing its stated mission of improving the health and wellbeing of the entire Bay Area population through refreshingly clear, human care. Bay Area residents now have access to a new and exciting healthcare option that offers increased access, transparent coverage, and more personalized care. Best of all, this new health organization is owned by the people who understand Bay area residents' healthcare needs best: physicians and hospitals.

The alliance is composed of nearly 4,000 providers, 15 award-winning hospitals, and numerous renowned care centers across 7 counties in the Bay Area. These close connections between primary care providers, hospitals, medical groups, and academic medical centers result in convenient in-network access for all Canopy Health members.
