MELVILLE, N.Y., Sept. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc. (CIIS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., and Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced that its Accounts Payable (AP) Automation Solution has achieved Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2. This integration can give JD Edwards EnterpriseOne users access to the productivity gains of the CIIS AP Automation Solution. CIIS will demonstrate AP Automation Solutions along with other Business Solutions and technology innovations at Oracle OpenWorld 2016, in Moscone South #711, from September 19-21. At the show, Canon's Finance and Accounting leaders will be on hand to share their first-hand experience in utilizing the AP Automation Solution and other Canon technologies to solve their project based procurement needs.
To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customers. The Oracle Validated Integration includes a range of technical and process-oriented testing including integrated functionality, data integrity, security and documentation. Building on the success of previous Oracle Validated Integrations between the CIIS AP Automation Solutions and Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle's PeopleSoft, and Oracle's JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.1, the integration with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 is the latest integration to help organizations reduce cost and increase performance.
"Leveraging imaging technologies to automate and digitize business processes can bring productivity gains and improve information sharing for organizations of all types," said Tetsuhiro Minamide, President and CEO, Canon Information and Imaging Solutions. "Canon is proud to achieve Oracle Validated Integration, which confirms our solutions' ability to bring significant benefits to Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne customers in helping them solve their business challenges."
"Achieving Oracle Validated Integration gives our customers the confidence that the integration between CIIS's AP Automation Solution and Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is functionally sound and performs as tested," said David Hicks, vice president, Worldwide ISV, OEM and Java Business Development, Oracle. "For solutions deployed on-premise, in the cloud, or both, Oracle Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical review and test process that helps to reduce deployment risk and improves the user experience of the partner's integrated offering."
Canon has a history of collaborating closely with Oracle and customers to enable automation of document-intensive business processes leveraging Canons' imaging capabilities and expertise. The AP Automation Solution for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is based on the Enterprise Imaging Platform by Canon, a single middleware platform that captures, creates, processes and automates document workflows while integrating relevant information into various enterprise applications. JD Edwards customers looking to replace manual invoice processing with a fully automated system can leverage capabilities such as automated extraction of information from documents, automated approvals, and accessibility of document archives from within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
