LOS ANGELES, July 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Vubiquity, the largest global provider of multiplatform video services, and Canoe, a provider of advertising software and services to national television programming networks, today announced that Canoe has certified Vubiquity's AdVU™ service suite as integrated with the Canoe VOD DAI platform via Canoe's Integration Certification Program. Programmers can leverage the metadata asset management service to efficiently create, coordinate and manage submission of video assets for VOD DAI resulting in streamlined metadata authoring to both MVPDs and Canoe.
"In deployments with Canoe, Vubiquity's AdVU services have a proven track record of making it easier for Programmers to get metadata into Canoe," said Joel Hassell, chief executive officer of Canoe. "We are pleased to provide Programmers the peace of mind knowing that AdVU was certified based on its ability to meet the needs of Programmers at scale, with conformity to CableLabs specifications and successful interoperability testing."
The Canoe Integration Certification Program supports the cable advertising ecosystem by identifying the industry solutions that have not only been integrated and tested to work with Canoe utilizing CableLabs® Metadata 1.1, 3.0, SCTE, and IAB VAST, but have also been deployed in one or more live production environments for an extended period of time.
Vubiquity's AdVU services include metadata solutions, as well as its ability to capture, edit, mark, stream condition, and distribute content and ads.
"We are excited to be able to offer an efficient and streamlined solution for Programmers looking to offer VOD DAI," said Laurie Lawrence, chief marketing officer of Vubiquity. "Certification from Canoe is an important proof point and with that we hope another step forward for the industry toward wide adoption of DAI."
