LOS ANGELES, May 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Cannabis lifestyle brand, Old Pal has hired two new industry professionals to ensure product meets the demands of consumers as the company continues to expand into new territories. Justin Newry has been named Inventory & Planning Manager and Joshua Delaney has been hired as Director of Supply Chain.
Justin Newry has held a wide variety of positions ranging from hospitality management to logistics and operational management. In 2016, Newry was given an opportunity to learn operational logistics and process flow from the tech food startup, Soylent where he set up and managed over 50 million dollars in Amazon sales per year.
Newry's most recent work comes from MedMen where he planned production for MedMen's [statemade] brand from seed to sale in Nevada. He was then promoted to National Inventory Operations Manager and balanced positive inventory health for all stores. He created numerous operational functions and models that optimized MedMen's supply chain and operations departments.
Joshua Delaney joins the Old Pal team as Director of Supply Chain. Delaney began his cannabis career with Kiva Confections in early 2015 when the small, family-operated company was just beginning to blossom and emerge as the leading edibles brand in California. With his previous experience in sales and beverage distribution, Delaney applied himself to just about every facet of Kiva's operation beginning in the field servicing the Northern California region and later in sales operations where he led the expansion of the sales and service arm of Kiva's distribution company with over one thousand medical dispensaries customers.
Delaney then became the logistics backbone during the regulatory transition into adult-use in 2017 and 2018 throughout the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. He was instrumental in the implementation of Kiva's ERP system and building out teams to manage everything from logistics, inventory, order fulfillment to the current sales operations team. Most recently, he worked in business development where he supported a portfolio of ten brand partners.
