Caneel Bay Resort Reopens On November 1st As An Independent Boutique Resort

ST. JOHN, United States Virgin Islands, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Caneel Bay Resort on St. John, U.S.V.I. is welcoming new developments for the 2013-2014 season. Formerly known as Caneel Bay, A Rosewood Resort, the eco-friendly destination rebranded as an independent property. It will relaunch under the official name Caneel Bay Resort when it opens for the new season on November 1, 2013.

Along with the relaunch, the property welcomes the new ZoZo's Ristorante. The former Sugar Mill restaurant is being transformed with new management, renovation, and a dining concept and menu.

Guests will also be able to perk up at Cannella, a new coffee shop and Italian gelateria. Opening November 1, the cafe, located near the Caneel Bay Resort gift shop, will serve gelato inspired by local flavors, paninis and coffee.

At the Massage Cabanas overlooking the beach, two new spa treatments are available to relax guests. The Hot Bamboo Massage (80 min; $255) unwinds guests with the smoothness and strength of warm bamboo used to massage muscles. Guests can also indulge in the Hot Seashell Massage (80 min; $255). This relaxing treatment uses heated shells with traditional massage techniques to give a memorable sea inspired treatment. 

Moving forward, the resort will also carry out plans to renovate all guestrooms beginning in 2014, with completion in phases over the next two to three years.

Celebrate all that's new at Caneel Bay, with the Bed and Breakfast package. Book a stay November 1 – December 20, and receive breakfast for two with each night's stay. Package rates from $401 per night, based on double occupancy.
