Candy Land Comes to Life!
Come One! Come All!
CLEVELAND, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Attention: All kids from one to eight years old! (and their parents, too!) The game of Candy Land comes to life on Saturday, October 9, from 10 am to 1 pm at 4600 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. Children will maneuver through familiar Candy Land activities as they race toward the Candy Castle to find the last king of Candy Land. The cost is $5 per child and $3 for adults. The event is open to all.
Starting Point has transformed two floors of its building at 4600 Euclid Avenue into a meandering sweet tooth path overflowing with Candy Land characters created by Cleveland School of the Arts. The sweet adventure begins at the Gingerbread Plum Tree with stops at the Peppermint Forest, Gumdrop Mountain, Licorice Castle, Peanut Brittle House, Lollipop Woods, Ice Cream Slopes, Molasses Swamp and ending at the Candy Castle.
Along the way, kids will be treated to games, art projects, face painting, stories and fun-filled adventures. There will be live music, and the first 300 children will receive a goody bag. Special thanks to presenting underwriter Kaiser Permanente and sponsor Charter One Bank.
Starting Point, a non-profit agency, is Northeast Ohio's child care, early education and out-of-school-time resource and referral agency, serving families, early childhood professionals and communities in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties.
