A long-standing supporter and provider of services for military families and veterans, Catholic Charities' work and commitment to the "Joining Forces" program will be conveyed by Ms. Hill with a focus on the engagement of the 170 Catholic Charities' agencies around the country.
"I am deeply honored to be asked to be part of the call and to play a key role in re-shaping the discussion around our nation's support of military individuals and families," said Ms. Hill. "Our veterans and military families deserve this country's strongest recognition, and we salute the First Lady on this critical initiative."
"We continue to strengthen and expand our collective support of military families by encouraging partnerships between providers in local communities, lifting up and modeling programs in parish communities, and encouraging our member agencies to convene focus groups of their employees who may have family members serving in the military," she continued.
