Candlewood Investment Group Makes Strategic Hires
NEW YORK, June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Candlewood Investment Group, LP, an SEC registered investment advisory firm, has filled additional key roles as it continues to expand its team. Janet E. Miller has been hired as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer and A. Aadel Shaaban has joined the firm as a Corporate Credit Analyst.
Ms. Miller is joining us from Sidley Austin, LLP where, since 2001, she represented domestic and foreign corporate clients, including major funds, in various corporate transactions including, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Additionally, she represented administrative agents and lenders in restructurings, syndicated loans and project finance transactions.
Prior to joining Candlewood, Mr. Shaaban was a Portfolio Manager with Thales Fund Management where he led the distressed strategy, which strategy included taking active positions in corporate restructurings and turnarounds.
