Candidates Invited to Visit High-Tech Border Ranch
HEREFORD, Ariz., Oct. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Border Patrol, a non-profit 501 c (3) Arizona corporation, is extending an invitation to all major presidential candidates to visit its border ranch to get a briefing on what works on the border and what doesn't. ABP has been a leader in the use of border technology, including the development of the first unmanned aerial vehicle to be used for border surveillance.
ABP says the briefing would include an analysis of where border fencing has worked and where it has not. Candidates would see live demonstrations of border technology, including the "Sonic Barrier," a seismic system some say would help solve the border problem in a cost-effective manner.
ABP recently released a video explaining how technology has been used on the border. It can be seen on YouTube here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtM7yORAq9s
In addition to the use of high-tech, ABP also performs aerial surveys of the border fence. http://americanpatrol.com/ABP/SURVEYS/BORDER-2009/Border-Main-20009.html Candidates will see first hand what has actually been built along the U.S.-Mexico border.
