Partnership will provide Chicagoans comprehensive breast cancer prevention and treatment education
ZION, Il., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Midwestern) and the Chicagoland Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® announced today that they have entered into a two-year partnership in which CTCA at Midwestern will be the Affiliate Presenting Sponsor of the 13-year-old Komen Chicagoland Area Affiliate. This marks the first time in its history that Komen Chicago has entered into a partnership of this level.
CTCA at Midwestern will be a local presenting sponsor at all six Susan G. Komen for the Cure Chicagoland Area Affiliate events including the 2010 and 2011 Chicago and Lombard Susan G. Komen Chicagoland Race for the Cure® events, the 2011 and 2012 Dancing with Chicago Celebrities®, and the 2011 and 2012 Golf for the Cure®. CTCA at Midwestern will also partner with Komen in their Chicagoland Area Affiliate community outreach and education initiatives, and will seek to educate Chicago-area women about advanced conventional treatments, clinical innovations, and scientifically supported therapies for the treatment of breast cancer.
