GREENVILLE, S.C., March 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- At the Annual Shareholder Meeting of Canal Insurance Company, held March 2, 2018, shareholders re-elected Mr. Lansing Crane, Mr. Paul Brocklebank, Mr. Victor Lund, Mr. David Pauly, Mr. John Pollock, Mr. William Timmons, III, Ms. Ann Pelham Cullen, Mr. Charles M. Timmons, Jr., and Mr. William H. Pelham to the Company's Board of Directors. In addition, the shareholders elected Mr. Gregory Vezzosi, a well-respected leader in the insurance industry, as its newest director.
Mr. Vezzosi joins Canal's Board with extensive experience in the insurance industry. He is recently retired from CNA Insurance Company, where he served as Senior Vice President. Prior to CNA, Mr. Vezzosi was EVP and Chief Operating Officer for the Argonaut Group. He has also served as Senior Vice President for Specialty Commercial Lines at St. Paul Travelers and as SVP and Chief Underwriting Officer for the Royal & SunAlliance Insurance Companies. He began his insurance career at the Chubb Insurance Group, where he rose to more progressive leadership roles over his 20 years there.
