Winning Solar Installation Project Will Receive $3,000; Four Honorable Mentions Will Each Receive $500
ONTARIO, Canada, March 10 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Canadian Solar Inc. ("the Company," "Canadian Solar" or "we") (Nasdaq: CSIQ) one of the world's largest solar companies, today announced the "Win With Canadian Solar Contest" launch in SolarPro magazine, the technical publication for solar industry professionals. Canadian Solar, a leading vertically integrated provider of ingot, wafer, solar cell, solar module and other solar applications, invites all installers, project designers, construction developers and electrical crews to enter to win contest prizes -- including the grand prize of $3,000 -- for their alternative energy solar installations using Canadian Solar modules.
Who: Solar installers, project designers, construction developers, and electrical crews are eligible to submit their completed solar installations -- residential, commercial or industrial -- built with Canadian Solar modules.
When: The contest begins today and will run until 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2010. The grand prize winner and all honorable mentions will be announced October 12 at Solar Power International 2010 in Los Angeles, Calif.

A solar installation overview with high resolution photo are required for submittal. The judging panel consists of Stephen Smith, founder of Solvida Energy Consulting, Roy Phillips, founder and president of Marin Solar, and Mike Miskovsky, U. S. general manager of Canadian Solar Inc. Winners will be selected based on engineering skill, environmental impact, creativity and aesthetics. Canadian Solar will award $3,000 to the grand prize winner, and prizes of $500 to four honorable mentions.
