Canadian industry innovators Natasha Koifman and Drew & Jonathan Scott continue evolving the film festival experiences in Toronto with annual IT House x Producers Ball
Landmark destination IT House x Producers Ball will become an experiential hub for industry and talent
TORONTO, June 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - In September 2017, during the film festival in Toronto, Toronto and New York-based agency NKPR, in collaboration with Scott Brothers Entertainment (Brother vs. Brother, Property Brothers at Home) will create a landmark destination, the IT House x Producers Ball. For the second year, the IT House x Producers Ball will take over a 2-storey, 7000 square foot lounge space and experiential hub in the heart of the festival activities, lending itself to celebrity, media and consumer experiences.
To celebrate the best of the film industry, this year the IT House x Producers Ball will feature a five-day activation, which will include a celebrity portrait studio, programming centered around industry panels and thought leadership, a gallery exhibition, and unique sponsored activations. On the evening of Friday, September 8th, the IT House will present the Producers Ball Gala, in its seventh year, hosted by Drew and Jonathan Scott, which invites producers, talent, and directors to celebrate accomplishments within the TV, film and digital media production industry.
As the first philanthropic suite in North America, the IT House x Producers Ball will once again integrate cause through Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ), an organization founded by Academy Award-winning director Paul Haggis, that supports communities in Haiti through education. With the vision that education has the power to change a nation, APJ built the first free public high school in Port-au-Prince, which celebrated the inaugural graduating class in spring 2016. Natasha Koifman (Canada Board Chair) and Drew and Jonathan Scott have been strong annual supporters of the organization that has raised over $30 million since it was founded during film festival in 2009.
"For over a decade, we have been committed to celebrating the culture, talent and vibrancy that the festival brings to the city of Toronto through developing unique experiences and activations for both residents and visitors alike," says Natasha Koifman, President, NKPR. "We are excited to once again join forces with Drew and Jonathan Scott on the IT House x Producers Ball, this year focusing on thoughtful programming centered around the industry that will resonate and connect with celebrities, media, influencers and consumers."
NKPR's IT Lounge has been an integral part of Toronto's film festival culture serving as a sanctuary for media, talent and VIPs looking to recharge and relax during the hustle of the festival. Past IT Lounge visitors have included Mila Kunis, Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Dev Patel, Natalie Portman, Elizabeth Olsen, Donald Glover, Jared Leto, Adrien Brody, Daniel Radcliffe and many more.
"Building upon the success of the inaugural IT House x Producers Ball, we are excited to once again create a place that our peers can call home during festival season," says Drew Scott, TV personality, author, entrepreneur and co-founder of Scott Brothers Entertainment and Scott Living. "This is a place where creatives – producers, directors and talent - can connect, kick back, recharge and enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences.
With a celebrity portrait studio at its hub, NKPR's IT Lounge has repeatedly partnered with reputable photographers (such as Patrick Demarchelier, Caitlin Cronenberg) and high-profile media partners (such as W Magazine) to become one of the festival's most sought-out destinations for visiting celebrities and media.
