Canadian Forces Look to Eco Waste Solutions to Reduce Environmental Footprint

BURLINGTON, ON, Aug. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Eco Waste Solutions (EWS) is proud to announce its latest contract with the Canadian Department of National Defense. The contract, awarded to EWS on July 4, 2012, adds to the Canadian Forces inventory of Eco Waste Solutions systems.

The ECO Mobile waste incineration system is designed for rapid deployment to any location/climate. The system is part of a logistic support plan for increased self-sufficiency within base camps. Safely and effectively caring for waste within the base perimeter reduces reliance on outside parties and increases base security. Other users of EWS' proven commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technology include NATO and UAE Armed Forces.

The Canadian Forces were specifically looking for a proven and mature technology to work reliably in extreme climates worldwide. The equipment is required to be containerized in 20 foot ISO shipping containers for rapid deployment. It had to be rugged and fit for purpose, but also meet the very strict Canada Wide Standards air emission limits for Waste Incineration. EWS stands alone as a vendor with verified capability in each of these areas.
